I graduated from the Department of Motion Design at Ringling College of Art + Design.

Demo Reel Breakdown

0:00 - 0:05 PBS Kids

Responsible for everything. I drew the characters in Photoshop and rigged and animated them in After Effects.

0:06 - 0:09 Birds iPad App

I taught myself how to animate characters in Spine and code an iPad game with the game development software, Unity. This is a game where a skate boarding bird has to jump over worms and collect coins.

0:10 - 0:11 Gut gemacht

I designed and animated this short type animation featuring the phrase, “Gut gemacht!”, which means, “Well done!” in German. I was inspired to make it after I planned a study abroad one summer in Germany.

0:11 - 0:13 Birds iPad App

0:13 - 0:17 PBS Kids

0:17 - 0:20 Grilled Cheese

Responsible for everything. I took an elective class specifically about 2D character rigging and animation in After Effects + Duik Tools. The class was more focused on rigging and animation than character design, so I focused more on getting nice motion from a simple stick figure character.

0:21 - 0:25 Highball Halloween

Responsible for everything. Designing, rigging and animating the character in After Effects and Duik Tools. Completed while working at Spacejunk Media for the Highball halloween festival’s building projections.

0:25 - 0:27 Birds iPad App

0:27 - 0:38 Lunchables Uploaded Commercial

Responsible for: Animation of all the nacho and chicken nugget characters. Completed while working at Spacejunk Media. The environment was put together by other designers on the team.

0:39 - 0:44 Highball Halloween

0:44 - 0:50 iPad App

0:51 - 0:53 PBS Kids

0:54 - 1:05 Bird Gifs

I drew some fun bird characters and animated each one with a different animation principle in mind. Just for fun!

1:05 - 1:09 Thanks

Everything. I painted a backdrop and wooden letters, then stop motion animated them with Dragonframe. Fireworks were added in After Effects.

Birds iPad App

I took what I learned about animation, then applied it to something new I wanted to explore. I taught myself how to use Unity, Spine, and C# programming and created an iPad app.

The app is about birds who need help with some tasks. Fancy Feathers needs help picking an outfit for a fancy event, skater-bird needs help collecting coins while avoiding worms, and hoos-beats owl needs a good music beat.

Winner of the bronze Motion Design award at Ringling College’s Best of Ringling Juried Student Show by Gerry Logue from NBC Universal.

Just for fun, I drew some cute birds, rigged, and animated them with the animation principles in mind.
I call it, The Birdie Principles!

PBS Kids

I created a 30 second promo for PBS Kids based on the improvised story of a child. Responsible for all illustration, rigging and animation. Here is the final video and breakdown video!

Highball Halloween

While working at Spacejunk, we had a very creative project come in! We got to create spooky building projection videos for the Halloween Highball festival in Columbus, Ohio.

The animations from each animator were stringed together in one big mashup at the end. I loved character animation and creating wild things, so I collaged together spooky characters with found images, then rigged/animated them with Duik Tools and After Effects.
